This One’s For All The Natural Beauty Lovers
Essential oils have always been a love of mine. I grew up with a mother as an aromatherapist, so our house was constantly smelling of essential oils and with every illness, ailment or bad day came an essential oil to heal it. It’s no surprise that when I started Humanmood, I wanted to stay true to my core beliefs and source all-natural scents.
If you’re anything like me, you love a new scent. So, when it comes to Oil Perfume, let me tell you, AYU are the best in the biz! If you haven’t already heard of this stunning brand, which I’m sure most of you have. AYU was founded by Madeleine Whitter and Alanna Quin, who have both studied Ayurvedic Medicine in a number of countries. If you’d like to hear more of their journey in depth, head over to an interview we had with these beautiful ladies a few months ago https://www.humanmood.com.au/ayu/
The AYU scent that I am completely obsessed with (this year) is White Oudh. This heavenly scent features deep, earthy notes of agarwood and frankincense. Frankincense is a tree resin that is extremely grounding, calming and relaxing. It is woody with a fruity, warm and sweet aspect to it. Agarwood is very similar, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine have used it as an aphrodisiac, sedative and pain reliever. It invigorates your senses and stimulates serenity and tranquillity. These beautiful oils are then blended with my absolute favourite floral citrus scent, Neroli. Neroli is known for its calming and relaxing properties. Neroli is distilled from the beautiful flowers on the bitter orange tree, in fact, two other scents I adore come from that same tree. Bitter Orange comes from the peel of the skin when it’s ripe and Petitgrain oil is pressed from its leaves. I can happily say that a little drop of White Oudh daily leaves you feeling calm, grounded, sexy and powerful in your own body. What more could you want for an everyday scent.
